I provide a range of services, including individual, couples, and family therapy; carry out assessments to identify learning disabilities and other neurodivergence among children, teenagers, and adults; help organizations recruit and select employees; provide employee counselling; and conduct workshops on psychological well-being.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
A referral from another practitioner is not required. However, a referral letter is essential for parents seeking assessment for their child's examination access arrangements or those referred by their employer.
If you find yourself at a crossroads, facing life's challenges, or simply seeking support and understanding, you are not alone. At times, the decision to seek therapy can be a transformative step towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. Reach out via email, WhatsApp, or phone. My team is there to offer support and clear any uncertainties you may have about whether therapy is right for you.
If you are noticing persistent academic challenges, behavioral issues, or struggles with learning in your child, it may be an indication that they could benefit from a psychoeducational assessment. Signs to look out for include declining grades, difficulty concentrating, frequent frustration, or a noticeable gap between their potential and actual performance. Behavioral changes, social difficulties, or complaints from teachers about your child's classroom behavior may also signal the need for an assessment. Additionally, if there is a family history of learning or attention issues, it is worth considering an evaluation. A psychoeducational assessment can provide valuable insights into your child's strengths and challenges, leading to tailored interventions and support to help them thrive academically and socially. Book an appointment, and I will guide you in determining whether a psychoeducational assessment is appropriate for your child.

Your first session is an important step in your journey toward psychological well-being. It is focused on creating a foundation for a trusting and collaborative relationship. Following an introduction to the therapeutic process and confidentiality agreement, we will discuss reasons for seeking therapy and explore the goals you hope to achieve. Thereafter, an individualized treatment plan will be drawn up collaboratively. Assessments and other evaluations will be carried out, where applicable.
As a licensed and experienced clinical psychologist, I am bound to adhere to a strict code of ethics set by the Sri Lanka Medical Council and the Australian Psychological Society. Maintaining the confidentiality of your information is of utmost importance to me. This means that any discussions, records, or other information shared during sessions will be treated with the utmost discretion. Your information will be safeguarded, and I will not disclose any details to third parties without your explicit written consent, except when required by the law or when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. If your employer refers you, they will be notified that you are using this service, but no clinical information will be provided without your consent. In the first session, I encourage you to openly discuss any concerns about confidentiality and privacy. Building trust and ensuring your comfort in the therapeutic process is essential to the success of the therapeutic relationship.
Please note that your first therapy session will last for one hour, while subsequent sessions will be 45 minutes. During the first session, we will discuss the duration of the therapeutic process and the frequency of visits based on individual needs and goals. You must arrive on time since I operate on an appointment system, and late arrival may result in a shortened session.
