I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Sri Lanka Medical Council and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology at Macquarie University and The University of Sydney in Australia, respectively. I read for my Doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.

Over the past 25 years, I have gained a wealth of experience in clinical practice, education, training, and supervision. I have been a consultant clinical psychologist in several private hospitals in Colombo. I was a full-time lecturer in the Behavioral Sciences Stream program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. I also headed and trained emerging clinical psychologists in the MPhil in Clinical Psychology program at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo. I have carried out various research projects, and have several publications and presentations to my name. I also have experience carrying out psychometrics for organizations during their selection and recruitment process, raising awareness and promoting mental health in the workplace.

Since continuing professional development is vital, I maintain subscriptions and attend workshops and seminars on mental health conducted by the Australian Psychological Society, Mental Health Academy, Western Psychological Services, and other special interest groups.
